If your institution has access to an e-freezer, you need a smartcard to use it.

• Apply for a Smartcard
• Change your Smartcard's spending limit

Once you have a smartcard you can use the freezer to buy any items stocked in it, order in items which aren't currently stocked, and request additions to its stock. You can also order items or request stocks from your desk, using this web site:

(Note: If the item you order is already in stock, once your order is processed you will be informed by e-mail and asked to collect it.)
