Genesearch Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned biotechnology company operating from its research and manufacturing facility at the Gold Coast Technology Park, Gold Coast, QLD. The Gold Coast Technology Park and the Genesearch building resulted from initiatives by the Queensland Department of Tourism, Small Business and Industry. Genesearch was founded in 1980 and is wholly owned by the scientists who operate the company.

Genesearch has a well equipped research facility for the development and manufacture of new products based on biotechnology, specialising in products requiring microbial fermentation. Genesearch has been developing advanced fermentation technology since 1981. In the late 1980's, Genesearch fermentation technology was applied to waste treatment technology, including the bacterial product, Ecobac, and preliminary development of biopesticide technology. In the 1990's, Genesearch fermentation technology has been applied to the new silage inoculant, SI-LAC.

Continuing and future research will involve improvements to silage inoculants, methods for suppressing heating of silage on feeding out and new approaches for biopesticide production. Genesearch collaborates with the other members of the Australian Silage Information Network in the development of this agricultural biotechnology.

Genesearch has developed fermentation manufacturing technology which potentially lowers the cost of production of a wide range of bacterial products. Using this fermentation technology, Genesearch manufactures and packages bacterial products including Ecobac (a waste treatment product) and the silage inoculant, SI-LAC.
