Conditions of Sale

All items are sold for in vitro use in a laboratory only and are not for human or animal use nor release into the environment. For imported biological products, your organisation must have an AQIS Registration Number for quarantine purposes (see your Purchasing Officer if in doubt).

Cancellations & Returns

Cancellations:

You can cancel an order without penalty provided that:

1. If we keep the item(s) in stock, it has not yet been shipped to you; or
2. If we don't keep the item(s) in stock, we have not yet ordered it from our supplier(s).

Normally we accept cancellations without penalty in other cases as well, but we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee to recover our costs. Please note that items which are sold infrequently, are expensive and/or have short lifetimes might not be able to be cancelled once we have ordered them from our suppliers; or if they are cancelled there might be a restocking fee of up to 50% of their list price.

Returns:

Items you have purchased but not yet opened may be returned, by prior arrangement at your expense, for a full or partial credit within 3 days of receipt, provided that:

1. The packet(s) are unopened and otherwise in saleable condition;
2. The item(s) have been stored and handled correctly at all times; and
3. The item(s) have been shipped appropriately (e.g. in wet or dry ice if required).

We reserve the right not to accept returns. In particular, please note that items which are sold infrequently, are expensive and/or have short lifetimes might not be able to be returned or there might be a restocking fee of up to 50% of their list price.

Note that the above does not apply to:

1. Defective items under warranty where we require a return; or
2. Items sent by mistake which you did not order and we require returned.

Prices and Discounts

Prices shown on this website are current Australian prices. If you are not logged in the prices shown are list prices or, if the product is on special, the special price. If you are logged in, the prices shown are adjusted for any standard discount you might be entitled too, but do not include any discounts that might apply to high value orders. For precise prices you need to log on and enter the items as an order: in that case all relevant discounts, specials etc. will be applied.

Please note that prices shown on this website are not an official quote and only the prices shown when you actually submit a web order are guaranteed. If you place an order later, prices might differ due to the total value of the order, pricelist changes or expiry of Specials.

For molecular biology products from NEB, CST and Finnzymes, single orders over $1,000 receive a 5% discount and special discounts can be negotiated for standing orders, prepaid orders or large purchase commitments. Some products may be excluded from this general discount policy or your general institutional discount.

No automatic discounts apply to other products. Contact us if you wish to order bulk quantities.

All prices will have 10% GST added if you are an Australian customer. Standard list prices shown do not include GST unless otherwise indicated (as all of our customers have the GST refunded by the government).

Application of Discounts:

Please note that discounts and specials are not cumulative, and might not apply in all cases. For example, items on Special receive no additional discounts; customers who receive customer-specific discounts do not also receive high-value discounts; and discounts might not apply to products from all suppliers or even to all products from a normally discounted supplier. If in doubt please contact Genesearch (note that correct prices are always shown for submitted web orders).

Stocks

Regularly ordered items are kept in stock at our Gold Coast laboratory, and we order from New England Biolabs and Cell Signaling Technology every Wednesday (with additions possible on Thursday).

Backorders

Unless advised otherwise, we ship in-stock items immediately and backordered items as soon as possible. Freight and packing, where applicable, is charged only once per order.

Return of Polystyrene Boxes

For the environmentally concerned, each box now includes a reply-paid sticker for returning the box to Genesearch for re-use. Simply follow the instructions on the sticker and pop the box in the mail. This service is provided to make it easy to recycle the boxes. Sorry, Genesearch can no longer give credit for returned boxes.

Warranties

Products are warranted to meet or exceed the specifications on their enclosed data card:

• New England Biolabs: For 60 days from the date of purchase (see their catalogue or website for details)
• Cell Signaling Technology: For 60 days from the date of purchase (see their catalogue for details). However owing to the special protocols required for phospho-specific antibodies, apparent problems with their products need to be discussed with the product manager before warranty replacements can be authorised.
• Gene Codes: Sequencher has a 60-day money-back guarantee
